Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is an American high quality basketball player for the La Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing around 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he has began exclusively in the position of point guard. Paul has received the NBA Rookie of the Year Honor, an Olympic gold medal, and brought the NBA on assists 3 times and steals six times. He's recently been chosen to 7 NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and 6 All-Defensive teams.
Paul had been a McDonald's All-American in high school. He joined Wake Forest University for just two time spent university basketball where he assisted the Demon Deacons reach their first ever number one ranking. He was elected fourth all round on the 2005 NBA draft by the New Orleans Hornets and traded to the Clippers in 2011.
At December 8, 2011, the Hornets accepted a three-team deal sending Paul on the Los Angeles Lakers. A NBA, who owned the team during the time, nullified the deal, with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans are the best off keeping Paul.The clubs involved in the trade attempted to lobby the league to change its ruling and reconstruct the offer to no avail.On December 12, the Hornets approved a trade sending Paul into the Los Angeles Clippers, but the deal broke down following the NBA added additional needs for the original conditions. 2 days further, the teams at last formed the trade, transferring Paul and two future second round draft picks in the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, and also Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick within the 2012 draft. After the deal's conclusion, Paul announced that he might opt in the final year of his contract and remain in La for at least 2 more years.
